We’re through to the Thames Valley Business Award finals!

We have just received notification from the judges at the Thames Valley Business Awards that our entry in the ‘best company to work for’ category was successful and we have been shortlisted as one of six finalists.

Austin Fraser have an immediate opportunity for their Fleet based client who are leaders in specialist IT Infrastructure and Solutions. We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager who has at least 7 years Project Manager experience and has moved in the last 2-3 years in a Programme Manager role.

Main Duties / Key Accountabilities

• Overall responsibility for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of programs/projects. This includes managing the designated program/project towards agreed Key Success Indicators and managing trade-offs between scope, quality, time and cost by applying ALL Project Management disciplines
• Ensure that their Data Methodology for Project Management is followed, standard PM tools and ways of working implemented
• Ensure all program requirements and/or objectives are properly documented (e.g. Project Initiation Document); maintain structure & coordination of the project documentation across the complete program/project lifecycle. Write documentations where appropriate.
• Identify and plan required resources for program/project implementation and ensure timely activity, integration, productivity and efficient use of resources to meet the requirements
• Own the communication around the programs, internally within the European team and externally towards the countries
• Track and report progress including realistic forecasts of final target positions for delivery dates and costs
• Manage risks, resolve issues and concerns
• Obtain approval for required commitments in line with EU Governance principles
• Release management where a number of system changes need to be undertaken. These include testing / regression testing, roll out and training, etc.
• Ensure program / project is transitioned into the relevant business area on completion.
• Program/Project closure as defined , including e.g. review actuals vs. baseline, outstanding topics, lessons learned archiving of program /project documentation, communication of program/project closure and review outcome
• Update Project Register and internal PMO Community (where applicable)

Requirements: Education, Training and Experience

• Degree and/or
• Relevant certification in project management AND
• Min of 5 - 7 progressive years in project management of which a min of 2 years in complex program management in Business Transformation
• Excellent knowledge of English (working language)
• Good knowledge of any other major European language spoken within the region (preferably French or German)
• An understanding of their Data’s Services Value proposition and go-to-market is also an advantage
